This contemporary one of a kind, hand-made acrylic sculpture is by listed artist Shlomi Haziza. The artist has used crystal clear acrylic to create the illusion of space and depth. The sculpture has a smaller triangular, a medium circular, and a large rectangular shape. The latter has three semi circular indentations. The three shapes are mounted to a faceted acrylic base.

Haziza's work explores the effects of light on an object's color and shape. His unique crystal acrylic sculpture bend and refract light in a manner which is constantly changing.

The artist has signed this piece on the acrylic. The sculpture measures 15"h x 12"w x 5.5"d.

Shlomi Haziza became a wide selling artist by the time he was 15 years old. He would gather sea stones and whimsically paint them. His rock art were soon widely collected and displayed throughout his native Israel. Within a short period of time, he began to receive attention for his painted stones from international collectors.

While still in his teens, Haziza became known for his work in a variety of mediums. While in the Israeli army, he would paint inspirational pictures and montages on the exterior walls of army bases. These murals helped to transform Haziza into an international celebrity artist. In his early twenties, he was granted permanent U.S. residency on the basis of exhibiting extraordinary artistic ability.

Haziza is best known for his mastery of working with acrylic. It is an unforgiving, but naturally exciting and expressive medium, with light-refracting properties that give it a unique dynamic. Haziza has spent years finding new ways to use color, metal powders and sculpting techniques to bring out the inner fire of acrylic and breathe life and emotion into every piece he makes.

CLEANING ACRYLIC: Never use cleaners containing ammonia. Cleaners such as Windex or 409 will harm acrylic. Use only products specifically recommended for cleaning acrylic. Never use a dry cloth or your hand to clean acrylic! This rubs as much dirt and dust INTO the acrylic as much as it rubs it OFF. First, blow the dust or dirt off, or use water and a soft cloth to float the dirt off. Then use a recommended cleaner to complete the job.
