This is a William Latch Newport Fusee pocket watch that was manufactured in 1846. The 4 jewel, possibly more, movement is signed William Latch Newport and bears the serial number 38599.The swing-out movement is set into a sterling silver case with an engine turned pattern and an unsigned sheild cartouche on the reverse. The porcelain dial is unsigned and features blue and black steel hands and a second display window. The dial does show signs of it';s age through a cracks near the 5-6 o'clock hour marker. KWKS
