Description:"Queen Ann's Lace" is a watercolor on paper by listed artist Barbara Burnett. This exceptionally well painted piece features the image of several Queen Ann's Lace flowers rendered in earth tones.
The artist has signed and dated this piece on the face of the image. It was completed May 1st, 1978. This piece is housed in its original frame which exhibits signs of light wear. The framed image measures 24"h x 27"w. This piece includes the artist's original certificate of authenticity.
Barbara Ann Burnett (b. 1927) is a listed artist who is well known for her mastery of the difficult medium of watercolor. She was born in in Kansas City and taught art in Leawood, Kansas between 1970 and 1975.
Burnett is a member of several artists' organizations including the Kansas Watercolor Society, National League of American Pen Women, Whisley Painters of America and Greater Kansas City Art Association.
Some of the exhibition she has participated in include Century II Kansas Tri-State Exhibition and Midwest Watercolor Society in 1981 and the Salmagundi Open Exhibition and Allied Artists of America in 1982. She is includes in the permanent collections of Barnard Library in La Crosse and the Coffeyville Public Library, both in Kansas.
